  What is a PODcast?

A PODcast is an audio and/or visual presentation designed for use on a portable media player such as an iPOD, mobile phone or other portable device.

How long is a PODcast?
The presentation can be as short as a TV commercial, or as long as a multi-episode, magazine-style series. Click here to see some examples of PODcasting at work.

Do I need an iPOD?
The PODcast presentation is created with portability in mind, but users can also view the content from their web browers by downloading the presentation from a client website and viewing on their computer screen.

What can I have on my PODcast?
Anything you like, really. Video footage, still shots, a voice over, licensed music track, an original soundtrack, and more. Your PODcast could be as simple as a portable version of your client’s latest TVC edited for this format and used as a viral marketing campaign, or it could be as engaging as an episode-style video series – city guides, bar tours, sporting events, fashion – all presented in a magazine-style format using professional-quality audio and video.

Can you turn my current ad campaign, TVC or other materials into a PODcast?
Yes. PiPod works with clients to create a compelling PODcast program that is complementary to existing marketing activities. We can transform your existing audio/visual footage and other advertising collateral into a professional, portable PODcast which can then be downloaded from a website as part of a highly-effective, trackable opt-in viral marketing campaign.

But we don’t have any current video footage!
Don’t fret. PiPod can hire you a digital video camera for use on your next photo shoot for your future ad campaigns, promotional shoots and the like. That way, you can capture video materials that PiPod can then use to craft you an innovative PODcast program that fits in with your existing marketing / branding brief.

Can you make me a PODcast from scratch?
Sure. PiPod is a team of experience professionals from the worlds of music, multimedia, marketing and media. We work with all manner of clients to come up with the best solutions for their PODcasting needs.

Sometimes the brief requires production of PODcast materials from scratch – actors, voice-overs, video production, post-production, editing and soundtrack – basically, the whole shebang.
